Shock Absorber Bushes with Fitting Position Front Axle, Rear Axle for HOLDEN ASTRA LD

LD ASTRA Shock absorber bushes are the polyurethane bush kits used to replace worn rubber bushes at the upper and lower mounting positions of shock absorbers and struts. Every shock absorber operates through two mounting points, and the bushes at each end are the sole compliant interface between the shock absorber body and the chassis or suspension arm. They allow the controlled angular movement required as the shock cycles through its travel while isolating the mount from vibration and road noise. As these bushes wear and crack, increasing movement and harshness is transmitted directly through the shock absorber mounting interfaces into the chassis, degrading ride quality, handling precision and NVH.

Quality LD ASTRA polyurethane replacement shock absorber bush kits restore correct compliance and isolation at each mounting position, reducing transmitted harshness and ensuring the shock absorber operates through its designed travel range without bind or play at the mount. The LD ASTRA range covers front and rear upper and lower shock absorber positions, shock absorber control arm mounting positions, and universal bush kits in a range of sizes for non-specific applications. Installation guides are available across most products. Most products are backed by a lifetime warranty.

Why Upgrade LD ASTRA Suspension?

Shock absorber bushes at both the upper and lower mounting positions are subject to continuous angular deflection, vibration and environmental exposure throughout the LD ASTRA's service life. Factory rubber bushes deteriorate progressively, hardening and cracking until they begin to transmit shock absorber inputs directly into the chassis instead of isolating them. The result is increased harshness over road irregularities, knocking or clunking from the shock absorber mounting position under suspension travel, and reduced shock absorber effectiveness as mounting compliance degrades.

Replacing worn shock absorber bushes with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives restores correct angular compliance and isolation at each mounting position, eliminating mount noise and transmitted harshness and allowing the shock absorber to operate through its full travel range with correct articulation at both ends. Polyurethane shock absorber bushes resist oil, heat and environmental exposure more effectively than factory rubber alternatives, maintaining their compliance characteristics for longer and reducing the frequency of replacement over the LD ASTRA's service life.

LD ASTRA Product Range

The LD ASTRA shock absorber bushes range includes:

• LD ASTRA Front Shock Absorber Upper Bush Kits: Bush kits for the upper chassis mounting position of the front shock absorber.
• LD ASTRA Front Shock Absorber Lower Bush Kits: Bush kits for the lower control arm or axle mounting position of the front shock absorber.
• LD ASTRA Rear Shock Absorber Upper Bush Kits: Bush kits for the upper chassis mounting position of the rear shock absorber.
• LD ASTRA Rear Shock Absorber Lower Bush Kits: Bush kits for the lower axle or control arm mounting position of the rear shock absorber.
• LD ASTRA Shock Absorber to Control Arm Bush Kits: Bush kits for the shock absorber lower mounting position at the control arm interface on platforms where the shock absorber mounts directly to the lower arm.
• LD ASTRA General Shock Absorber Bush Kits: Vehicle-matched bush kits covering both upper and lower shock absorber mounting positions in a single purchase on applicable classic and multi-platform applications.
• LD ASTRA Universal Shock Absorber Bush Kits: Dimensionally specified bush kits in a range of sizes for non-vehicle-specific shock absorber mounting applications.

Why Purchase LD ASTRA Shock Absorber Bushes?

Worn shock absorber bushes are a frequently overlooked source of mount noise, transmitted harshness and reduced shock absorber effectiveness that is often misattributed to the shock absorber itself. Renewing them with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives restores correct mounting compliance and isolation, eliminates mount noise and harshness and returns the shock absorber to full effectiveness without requiring shock absorber replacement.

For workshops carrying out shock absorber replacement or suspension servicing, LD ASTRA shock absorber bush renewal is a low-cost step that ensures the new or existing shock absorber is correctly supported at both mounting positions, preventing premature mount wear and delivering the correct compliance for the shock absorber to perform as designed.

Installation and Support

LD ASTRA Shock absorber bush kits are designed for accurate installation at the upper and lower shock absorber mounting positions. Installation times range from approximately half an hour to three hours depending on the application and mounting position. Installation guides are available across most products to support both professional workshops and experienced DIY users. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to help ensure correct product selection for the specific vehicle and shock absorber mounting configuration.

Repair and Upgrade

LD ASTRA Shock absorber bushes are manufactured from high-strength polyurethane engineered to withstand the angular deflection, vibration and environmental exposure that shock absorber mounting positions are subject to in everyday and demanding use. Resistant to oil, heat and road contaminants, polyurethane shock absorber bushes maintain their compliance and isolation characteristics for longer than factory rubber alternatives, delivering more consistent shock absorber mounting performance throughout their service life. Most products are backed by a lifetime warranty.

Who LD ASTRA Shock Absorber Bushes Are For

LD ASTRA Shock absorber bushes are a practical solution for:

• Professional workshops carrying out shock absorber replacement and suspension servicing requiring correct polyurethane bush renewal at upper and lower mounting positions across a wide range of applications.
• Experienced DIY users replacing worn shock absorber mounting bushes to eliminate mount noise, reduce transmitted harshness and restore correct shock absorber mounting compliance at any upper or lower position.
• Classic and performance vehicle owners renewing shock absorber mounting bushes as part of a comprehensive suspension overhaul or shock absorber upgrade, ensuring each mounting position is correctly supported.
• Anyone experiencing knocking, clunking or increased harshness from shock absorber mounting positions attributable to worn or deteriorated upper or lower shock absorber bushes.
