Adjustable Anti Roll Bar Links for VOLVO S40 MS

MS S40 Adjustable anti roll links are the heavy duty replacement anti roll links used to replace worn or incorrectly sized factory anti roll links at the front and rear anti roll end positions. Each link connects the end of the anti roll to the suspension strut, control arm or hub carrier and transmits the anti roll's torsional load to the suspension, directly influencing the bar's roll resistance contribution. Factory anti roll links use rubber bushes at each end that wear and crack over time, introducing play and compliance into the link that reduces anti roll effectiveness and contributes to the characteristic knocking that worn link ends produce over bumps and during cornering.

MS S40 Adjustable anti roll links replace both the worn link body and the rubber end joints with a precisely threaded, length-adjustable assembly fitted with heavy duty ball joints at each end. The threaded body allows the link length to be set within a defined range to match the exact geometry of the specific application, accommodating factory link lengths, modified suspension heights and non-standard anti roll positions without requiring a purpose-made fixed-length link. Ball joint end fittings allow the link to articulate freely without the compliance limitations of rubber bush ends, delivering a direct and precise anti roll connection under all driving conditions. All products are backed by a three-year warranty.

Why Upgrade MS S40 Suspension?

Standard factory anti roll links use rubber-bushed ends that are designed for quiet, compliant operation but deteriorate over the MS S40's service life under the combination of torsional load cycling, angular deflection and environmental exposure. Worn link end bushes allow play to develop between the link and the bar or the suspension mounting point, reducing the anti roll's ability to resist roll and introducing the knock and rattle over bumps that is one of the most common suspension noises encountered in workshop servicing.

Replacing worn factory links with heavy duty adjustable ball joint links eliminates the worn end play, restores direct and precise anti roll-to-suspension force transmission, and provides a link that can be correctly set to the exact geometry of the application. The MS S40 adjustable length design is particularly valuable on lowered, lifted or modified vehicles where the factory link length is no longer suitable and a fixed replacement would bind or over-extend through the suspension travel range.

MS S40 Product Range

The MS S40 adjustable anti roll links range includes:

• MS S40 Front Adjustable Anti roll Links, Platform-Specific: Adjustable length, heavy duty ball joint front anti roll links in the correct length range and ball joint configuration for the specific platform, available for a range of Australian, Japanese and European passenger and performance vehicles.
• MS S40 Rear Adjustable Anti roll Links, Platform-Specific: Adjustable length, heavy duty ball joint rear anti roll links in the correct length range and ball joint configuration for the specific platform, available for a range of Australian, Japanese and European passenger and performance vehicles.
• MS S40 Universal Adjustable Anti roll Links: Adjustable length, heavy duty ball joint anti roll links in a range of length spans and ball stud sizes for front and rear applications where a platform-specific link is not available, or where a universal link is preferred for a custom or modified application.

All products are supplied as a pair of two links. Ball joint end configurations include horizontal-only and combined horizontal/vertical articulation to match the specific mounting geometry of the application.

Why Purchase MS S40 Adjustable Anti roll Links?

Worn factory anti roll links are among the most common causes of the front and rear suspension knock that workshops diagnose on a daily basis, yet a worn link also reduces anti roll effectiveness in a way that degrades cornering balance and stability progressively and is often not noticed until the link is replaced and the improvement is immediately apparent. Heavy duty adjustable ball joint links address both the noise and the performance deficit in a single replacement, delivering a direct, play-free anti roll connection that restores the bar's full contribution to roll resistance.

The adjustable length design is the correct choice for any MS S40 that has been lowered or lifted, as the changed suspension geometry alters the ideal link length relative to factory and a fixed link of the original length will bind or over-extend through the suspension travel range. Setting the link length to the correct dimension for the modified ride height ensures the anti roll operates at the correct angle throughout the full suspension travel range.

Installation and Support

MS S40 Adjustable anti roll links are designed for accurate installation at the front and rear anti roll end mounting positions. Installation time is approximately one hour per kit. Link length must be set within the product's adjustable range to match the specific application geometry before final tightening. Installation guides are available across all products. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to help confirm correct product selection and length setting for the specific vehicle and suspension configuration.

Repair and Upgrade

MS S40 Adjustable anti roll links are constructed with a threaded body and heavy duty ball joint ends engineered to withstand the torsional and angular loads that anti roll link mounting positions are subject to in everyday and demanding use. The ball joint end design articulates freely through the full suspension travel range without the compliance limitations of rubber bush ends, delivering consistent and direct anti roll force transmission under all driving conditions. The adjustable length body accommodates the specific geometry of each application within a defined range. All products are backed by a three-year warranty.

Who MS S40 Adjustable Anti roll Links Are For

MS S40 Adjustable anti roll links are a practical solution for:

• Professional workshops carrying out front and rear anti roll link replacement on a range of passenger, performance and modified vehicles requiring a heavy duty ball joint replacement link that eliminates worn end play, restores direct anti roll force transmission and accommodates the specific geometry of the application.
• Performance and enthusiast vehicle owners replacing worn or factory rubber-bushed anti roll links with heavy duty adjustable ball joint alternatives to improve anti roll responsiveness and reduce link compliance under cornering load.
• Owners of lowered or lifted vehicles requiring adjustable length anti roll links that can be correctly set to the modified suspension geometry, ensuring the anti roll operates at the correct angle throughout the full travel range at the new ride height.
• Anyone experiencing front or rear suspension knocking attributable to worn anti roll link end joints, requiring a direct, durable and correctly dimensioned replacement that eliminates the noise and restores full anti roll effectiveness.

The right adjustable anti roll link eliminates worn end play, restores direct and precise anti roll-to-suspension force transmission and accommodates the exact geometry of the application, delivering confident, stable and controlled suspension performance through every corner.
