NOLATHANE, REVOLUTION Shock Bushings with Fitting Position Front and Rear, Front, Rear

Shock bushings are the universal polyurethane eye bushing kits used to replace worn or deteriorated rubber bushings at the upper and lower shock absorber eye mounting positions. On shock absorbers that use an eye-style mount at the upper or lower end, the bushing presses into the eye bore and over the mounting bolt or pin, providing the compliant interface that allows the shock to articulate through its designed range of angular movement while isolating the mount from vibration. When these bushings wear or compress beyond their designed compliance, play develops at the eye mount, producing the characteristic knock from the shock mount position under suspension travel and allowing the shock absorber to move at the mount interface in a way that reduces damping precision.

The shock bushings range covers four universal polyurethane eye bushing kits in dimensionally specified ID and length combinations, covering the most common shock absorber eye bore sizes used across passenger cars, trucks, SUVs and 4WDs in both pack-of-four and individual formats. The correct bushing is selected by matching the ID to the shock mounting bolt diameter and the length to the shock eye bore depth. All products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Why Upgrade Suspension?

Shock absorber eye bushings at the upper and lower mount positions operate under continuous angular deflection with every suspension input, and under the vibration and road shock that the shock absorber transmits through its mounts throughout the vehicle's service life. Factory rubber shock eye bushings compress and crack progressively, first introducing a faint knock at the mount that is often attributed to other causes, then allowing enough play to measurably reduce the precision with which the shock absorber is located in its mount during suspension travel.

Renewing shock eye bushings with correctly dimensioned polyurethane alternatives restores the correct interference fit in the eye bore, eliminates mount knock and returns the shock absorber to a correctly located and correctly compliant mounting that allows it to operate through its full designed travel range without binding or play at the eye interface.

Shock Bushing Range

The shock bushing range includes:

• Universal Shock Eye Bushings, Standard Pack: A multi-pack of polyurethane shock eye bushings for shock absorber eye mount positions where the mounting bolt and eye bore match the available dimensional specification.
• Universal Shock Eye Bushings, Larger Pack: A multi-pack of polyurethane shock eye bushings with a larger inner diameter and longer length for shock absorber eye mount positions requiring a larger ID and longer bore specification.
• Universal Shock Eye Bushing, Straight Style: A single straight-style polyurethane shock eye bushing in the straight bore profile used on applicable and aftermarket shock absorber eye applications.
• Universal Shock Eye Bushing, General: A single universal polyurethane shock eye bushing for shock absorber eye mount positions where the dimensions match the general specification of this product.

Why Purchase Shock Bushings?

Universal shock eye bushings are a low-cost repair for the mount knock and damping imprecision that worn shock eye bushings introduce, and their dimensional specification makes them usable across a broad range of platforms and aftermarket shock absorbers without requiring a vehicle-specific part number. Selecting the correct bushing requires matching the inner diameter to the mounting bolt and the length to the shock eye bore depth, and the available specifications cover the most common shock eye dimensions used across everyday and off-road platforms.

For workshops completing shock absorber replacements and suspension services, having the correct shock eye bushing dimensions on hand ensures the shock mounts are correctly renewed at both ends at the time of the shock service, preventing the premature mount knock that results from installing new shocks with worn eye bushings.

Compatible Vehicles

Shock bushings are compatible with a wide range of vehicles, including:

• Any passenger car, truck, SUV or 4WD requiring upper or lower shock absorber eye bushing renewal where the mounting bolt diameter and eye bore length match one of the four available dimensional specifications.
• Applicable vehicles requiring shock eye bushing renewal at the applicable upper or lower mount position using the correct dimensional specification.
• Any vehicle fitted with aftermarket or replacement shock absorbers using a standard eye mount design where the eye bore dimensions match one of the available bushing specifications.

Installation and Support

Universal shock eye bushings install at the upper or lower shock absorber eye mount position by pressing into the eye bore over the mounting bolt or pin. Installation time is approximately one hour per kit. The correct bushing is selected by matching the inner diameter to the mounting bolt diameter and the length to the shock eye bore depth. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to confirm correct dimensional selection for the specific shock absorber and mount configuration.

Repair and Upgrade

Shock bushings are manufactured from high-strength polyurethane engineered to withstand the angular deflection, vibration and environmental exposure that shock absorber eye mount positions are subject to in everyday, performance and off-road use. Polyurethane maintains its interference fit in the eye bore for longer than factory rubber alternatives under the continuous articulation that shock eye mounts experience, delivering consistent mount compliance and reduced knock throughout the service life of the installation. All products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Who Shock Bushings Are For

Shock bushings are a practical solution for:

• Professional shops completing shock absorber replacements and suspension services requiring correctly specified universal shock eye bushing renewal at both upper and lower mount positions to ensure the new or existing shock is correctly seated and compliant in its mounts from the first mile.
• Experienced DIY users replacing shock absorber eye bushings to eliminate mount knock and restore correct shock mount compliance at the upper or lower eye position on any platform where the dimensional specification matches.
• Anyone fitting aftermarket shock absorbers requiring universal eye bushings in the correct inner diameter and length to correctly mount the shock at the eye position.

The right shock bushing kit restores the correct interference fit and compliance at the shock absorber eye mount, eliminates mount knock and ensures the shock absorber operates through its full travel range with correct articulation at every mount position.
