REVOLUTION Strut Rod Bushing with Fitting Position Front for 0

Strut rod bushings are the platform-specific polyurethane bushing kits used to replace worn rubber bushings at the chassis and lower control arm mounting positions of the front or rear strut rod. The strut rod, also called a tension rod or drag link on applicable platforms, connects the front lower control arm to the chassis and resists the rearward movement of the arm under braking loads, maintaining correct front wheel caster geometry and controlling longitudinal arm compliance. On rear suspension platforms that use a rear strut rod for longitudinal axle or arm location, the strut rod bushing at the chassis mount position performs the same function at the rear, controlling rear arm or axle longitudinal compliance under braking and acceleration.

As strut rod bushings wear at either the chassis or control arm end, increasing longitudinal compliance allows the arm to move rearward under braking, introducing caster drift, brake dive, steering wander and the front end instability that progressive strut rod bushing wear produces. The range covers rear strut rod bushing sets and kits for applicable passenger and performance platforms, front tension rod to chassis mount bushing sets for RWD and 4WD variants, strut and control arm to chassis mount bushing sets for applicable 4WD platforms, front strut rod bushing kits, and strut rod to lower control arm bushing kits for the arm-end mount position. All products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Installation guides are available across most products.

Why Upgrade Suspension?

Strut rod bushing wear is one of the most geostandardally significant forms of suspension wear on the platforms that use this design, because the strut rod is the only longitudinal locating device for the front lower arm on these suspension systems. As the chassis-end or arm-end bushing deteriorates, the arm is permitted to move rearward under each braking event, shifting the wheel's caster angle and contributing to the brake dive, steering pull and front end wander that mark the progression of strut rod bushing wear from a subtle looseness to an obvious and uncomfortable handling characteristic.

On rear platforms using a strut rod for longitudinal axle or arm location, worn strut rod bushings allow the axle or arm to shift under acceleration and braking, degrading rear axle tracking consistency and contributing to rear end instability under dynamic load. Renewing strut rod bushings with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives at both the chassis and arm-end positions simultaneously restores correct longitudinal compliance and caster stability, eliminating arm movement under braking and returning precise, stable and predictable suspension behavior from the moment of installation.

Strut Rod Bushing Range

The strut rod bushing range includes:

• Rear Strut Rod Bushing Sets: Platform-specific polyurethane bushing sets for the rear strut rod chassis and arm mount positions on applicable RWD performance and passenger platforms requiring rear strut rod bushing renewal.
• Rear Strut Rod Bushings: Individual position rear strut rod bushing kits for applicable passenger and performance platforms where targeted rear strut rod bushing renewal is required at the applicable mount position.
• Front Tension Rod to Chassis Mount Bushing Sets, RWD: Polyurethane bushing sets for the front tension rod chassis mount position on applicable RWD passenger and performance platforms, restoring correct front arm longitudinal compliance and caster stability.
• Front Tension Rod to Chassis Mount Bushing Sets, 4WD: Polyurethane bushing sets for the front tension rod chassis mount position on applicable 4WD platforms where the 4WD variant uses a distinct bushing profile from the RWD equivalent.
• Strut and Control Arm to Chassis Mount Bushing Sets, RWD and 4WD: Combined strut and control arm to chassis mount bushing sets for applicable 4WD and RWD platforms where the strut rod and control arm share or are adjacent to the chassis mount position, available in RWD and 4WD configurations.
• Front Strut Rod Bushing Kits: Platform-specific polyurethane bushing kits for the front strut rod mount positions on applicable 4WD and passenger platforms.
• Strut Rod to Lower Control Arm Bushing Kits: Polyurethane bushing kits for the strut rod to lower control arm inner mount position on applicable passenger platforms where the strut rod mounts at the inner arm pivot rather than a separate chassis bracket.

Why Purchase Strut Rod Bushings?

Strut rod bushing renewal is the most direct repair for the brake dive, steering wander and front end instability that worn longitudinal arm compliance introduces on platforms that use a strut rod to locate the front lower arm. Renewing the bushings at both the chassis and arm-end positions together restores correct arm compliance across the full longitudinal load path, eliminating the movement that worn bushings allow and returning the front end to the precise, stable and caster-consistent behavior that correct strut rod compliance delivers.

For workshops completing front suspension servicing and alignment corrections on applicable platforms, strut rod bushing renewal is a foundational step that addresses the structural-level cause of front end geometry drift before alignment or other suspension work is carried out, ensuring the geometry correction made at the alignment rack is set from a correctly compliant and correctly located baseline.

Installation and Support

Strut rod bushing kits are designed for installation at the front and rear strut rod chassis and control arm mount positions on applicable platforms. Installation times range from under an hour for simple single position kits to four hours for full strut and control arm chassis mount bushing set installations. Installation guides are available across most products. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to confirm correct product selection, drivetrain configuration and fitment for the specific platform and strut rod mount design.

Repair and Upgrade

Strut rod bushings are manufactured from high-strength polyurethane engineered to withstand the sustained longitudinal braking and acceleration loads, road shock and environmental exposure that strut rod chassis and arm mount positions are subject to in everyday and demanding use. Polyurethane maintains correct arm compliance and caster stability for longer than factory rubber alternatives under the repeated braking and acceleration load cycling that strut rod bushing positions experience, delivering more consistent front end geometry and handling precision throughout the service life of the installation. All products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Who Strut Rod Bushings Are For

Strut rod bushings are a practical solution for:

• Professional shops completing front suspension servicing and alignment corrections on applicable RWD and 4WD platforms requiring strut rod or tension rod chassis bushing renewal to restore correct front arm longitudinal compliance and provide a correctly located baseline for alignment geometry correction.
• Applicable performance and passenger vehicle owners renewing front strut rod or tension rod chassis bushings to eliminate brake dive, reduce front end wander and restore precise, caster-stable front suspension behavior under braking and cornering.
• Shops and DIY users completing rear suspension servicing on applicable RWD performance platforms requiring rear strut rod bushing renewal to restore correct rear arm longitudinal compliance and rear end stability under dynamic load.
• Anyone experiencing brake dive, front end wander or steering pull on an applicable platform attributable to worn strut rod or tension rod chassis or arm-end bushing compliance.

The right strut rod bushing kit restores correct longitudinal arm compliance and caster stability at every renewed mount position, eliminates arm movement under braking and acceleration, and delivers more precise, stable and controlled front and rear suspension behavior through every braking and cornering input.
