NOLATHANE, REVOLUTION Subframe Bushing with Fitting Position Front

Subframe bushings are the platform-specific polyurethane bushing kits used to replace worn rubber bushings at the front and rear subframe to chassis mounting positions. The subframe is the dedicated structural cradle that carries the suspension, steering and drivetrain components, and the bushings at its chassis mount positions control the stiffness, compliance and positional precision of the subframe relative to the body. On front subframe platforms, the bushing condition at each mount position directly affects steering precision, front suspension geometry consistency and the NVH transmitted from the front suspension and drivetrain into the cabin. On rear subframe platforms carrying the entire rear suspension assembly, the bushing condition determines rear wheel geometry consistency, handling balance, cornering stability and rear-end NVH.

As subframe bushings wear, compliance at the chassis mount interface increases, allowing the subframe to move under dynamic load and introducing geometry inconsistency, handling imprecision, increased NVH and a progressive deterioration in vehicle character that worsens with continued use. The subframe bushing range covers front subframe mount bushing kits including a manual transmission specific variant, a subframe align and lock kit, subframe to chassis front kits, full combined front and rear subframe mount bushing kits, rear subframe bushing kits and sets, rear subframe mount bushing sets, subframe mount bushing insert kits for front and rear positions, combined front and rear insert kits, rear subframe rear bushing inserts, rear sub-frame bushing sets for 4WD platforms, and additional subframe mount bushing variants. All products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Installation guides are available across most products.

Why Upgrade Suspension?

Subframe bushings carry a continuous and significant structural load across all driving conditions and deteriorate through a combination of compression set, heat cycling and road contamination over the vehicle's service life. Because the subframe is a large, well-located assembly, the changes caused by bushing wear accumulate slowly and are easy to normalize before the full extent of the degradation becomes apparent. By the time front end handling feels vague or rear NVH has increased noticeably, subframe bushing compliance has often drifted well beyond its designed operating range.

Renewing subframe bushings with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives restores correct subframe location and chassis compliance, delivering immediate and measurable improvements in front and rear suspension precision, cornering stability and NVH that reflect the full benefit of a freshly and correctly located subframe assembly. For performance vehicles where subframe positioning is critical to handling balance and traction, subframe bushing renewal is among the highest-impact bushing-level improvements available. Insert-style kits that install into the existing shell reduce installation complexity on applicable platforms while delivering the same compliance and location improvement as full shell replacement kits.

Subframe Bushing Range

The subframe bushing range includes:

• Rear Subframe Mount Bushing Sets: Rear subframe mount bushing sets for applicable performance and passenger platforms requiring rear subframe chassis mount renewal.
• Subframe Mount Bushing Insert Kits: Polyurethane insert kits that install directly into the existing subframe mount shell without requiring shell removal, providing a more accessible renewal option on applicable performance and passenger platforms.
• Front and Rear Mount Insert Combined Kits: Combined insert kits supplying polyurethane inserts for both front and rear subframe mount positions in a single purchase on applicable platforms.
• Rear Subframe Rear Bushing Inserts: Polyurethane insert kits for the rear subframe rear mount positions on applicable performance platforms where only the rear-most subframe mount inserts require renewal.

Why Purchase Subframe Bushings?

Allowing worn subframe bushings to remain in service means the suspension assembly is operating from a mounting platform that moves under load, progressively compromising wheel geometry, handling balance and NVH with every mile driven. Renewing them with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives restores correct subframe location, eliminates mounting compliance drift and delivers a suspension assembly that performs from a stable, correctly positioned base.

For workshops completing suspension overhauls and high-mileage servicing on performance and passenger vehicles, subframe bushing renewal is a foundational step that addresses a structural-level cause of handling degradation before individual suspension component renewal is carried out. Insert kits offer a lower-labor renewal path on applicable platforms, delivering the compliance and location benefits of polyurethane without requiring full shell extraction. The subframe align and lock kit provides the highest level of subframe positional consistency for performance and track applications where subframe movement under dynamic load is a specific handling and geometry concern.

Compatible Vehicles

Subframe bushings are compatible with a wide range of vehicles, including:

• Applicable FWD performance and AWD vehicles requiring front or rear subframe bushing renewal to restore correct subframe location, front and rear suspension geometry consistency and handling precision.
• Applicable performance and passenger vehicles requiring full front and rear subframe mount bushing renewal to address high-mileage compliance drift at the subframe chassis mount positions.
• Applicable performance platforms requiring subframe align and lock kit bushings to eliminate subframe movement and maximize positional consistency for performance and track use.
• Applicable 4WD platforms requiring rear sub-frame bushing renewal in the applicable 4WD-specific bushing profile.
• Any applicable performance or passenger vehicle requiring subframe mount bushing insert renewal where the insert-style kit provides a more accessible renewal path than a full shell replacement kit.

Installation and Support

Subframe bushing kits are designed for installation at the front and rear subframe chassis mount positions on applicable platforms. Installation times range from one and a half hours for insert-style kits to four hours for full front and rear combined bushing kit installations. Insert kits install into the existing mount shell without requiring shell removal, reducing installation time on applicable platforms. Installation guides are available across most products. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to confirm correct product selection, kit type and fitment for the specific vehicle, transmission configuration and subframe mount design.

Repair and Upgrade

Subframe bushings are manufactured from high-strength polyurethane engineered to withstand the structural load, vibration, heat cycling and environmental exposure that front and rear subframe chassis mount positions are subject to in everyday, performance and off-road use. Subframe align and lock kits are engineered to eliminate subframe movement entirely at the chassis mount interface for the most demanding performance applications. Polyurethane insert kits deliver correct compliance and location improvements within the existing mount shell, reducing installation complexity while maintaining the durability benefits of polyurethane at the bushing interface. All products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Who Subframe Bushings Are For

Subframe bushings are a practical solution for:

• Professional shops completing suspension overhauls and high-mileage servicing on applicable FWD, AWD and Applicable performance and passenger platforms requiring correct subframe mount bushing renewal to restore correct subframe location before individual suspension component work is carried out.
• Performance and enthusiast vehicle owners renewing front or rear subframe bushings to restore or improve handling balance, cornering precision and rear end stability on applicable platforms where subframe bushing compliance directly affects wheel geometry and traction.
• Track and competition drivers requiring subframe align and lock kit bushings on applicable performance platforms to eliminate subframe movement and deliver maximum positional consistency under the elevated dynamic loads of performance and track driving.
• Shops and DIY users requiring insert-style subframe bushing kits on applicable platforms where a lower-labor renewal path is preferred and the existing mount shell is in serviceable condition.

The right subframe bushing kit restores correct subframe location and chassis compliance, eliminates mounting movement and delivers more precise, stable and refined front and rear suspension performance from the moment of installation.
