Sway Bar Bushings with Fitting Position Front, Rear for 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer SE Sportback

Mitsubishi Lancer Sway bar bushings are the platform-specific and dimensionally specified polyurethane bushing kits used to replace worn rubber bushings at the front and rear sway bar chassis bracket mount positions. The sway bar, also called an anti-roll bar, connects the left and right sides of the suspension to resist body roll during cornering, and the mount bushings at the chassis bracket positions are the primary means by which the bar is located and through which its torsional loads are transferred to the chassis. The correct sway bar bushing diameter must match the bar diameter precisely: an undersized bushing allows the bar to shift in its bracket, reducing roll resistance and introducing the characteristic knock that worn sway bar mount bushings produce.

The sway bar bushings range covers front and rear sway bar mount bushing sets in an extensive range of applicable diameters, combined mount and end link bushing sets for applicable platforms, sway bar mount and link combined kits, body-style and drivetrain-specific variants for applicable platforms, greaseable universal sway bar bushings in key dimensional sizes, alternative-dimensioned universal bushing sets, a universal mount saddle kit, a universal bushing and brackets set, and sway bar service kits. All products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Installation guides are available across most products.

Why Upgrade Mitsubishi Lancer Suspension?

Sway bar mount bushings are among the most frequently worn and replaced suspension bushings on any vehicle, yet they are also among the most overlooked until the bar is visibly moving in its bracket or the knocking from the mount position has become pronounced. Factory rubber sway bar mount bushings compress and harden progressively, losing their grip on the bar and allowing it to move within the bracket under torsional load. The early symptom, a faint knocking or tapping from the front or rear suspension over small bumps, is often normalized before the underlying cause is addressed.

Replacing worn Mitsubishi Lancer sway bar bushings with correctly sized polyurethane alternatives restores the correct interference fit between the bushing and the bar, securing the bar within its bracket and eliminating mount noise immediately. Polyurethane sway bar bushings also grip the bar more consistently than rubber under torsional load, delivering more immediate and precise sway bar response that directly improves cornering balance and body roll control.

Why Purchase Mitsubishi Lancer Sway Bar Bushings?

Worn sway bar mount bushings are the most common cause of the front and rear suspension knocking that workshops diagnose on everyday vehicles, yet a worn mount bushing also reduces sway bar effectiveness in a way that degrades cornering balance progressively and is often not noticed until the bushing is replaced and the improvement is immediately apparent. Correctly sized polyurethane mount bushings address both the noise and the performance deficit in a single replacement, delivering a direct, play-free bar-to-bracket connection that restores the bar's full contribution to roll resistance.

The diameter match is the critical selection factor: the correct Mitsubishi Lancer bushing must grip the bar without play and seat fully in the bracket. The extensive range of applicable diameters, including platform-specific variants for sport, non-sport, wagon, sedan and drivetrain-specific configurations, ensures the exact diameter for the applicable platform and bar is available in a single matched kit.

Installation and Support

Mitsubishi Lancer Sway bar mount bushing kits are designed for installation at the front and rear sway bar chassis bracket mount positions. Installation time is approximately one hour per kit for most products. The correct mount bushing diameter must match the sway bar bar diameter precisely for the specific vehicle and bar. Platform-specific variants must be matched to the correct body style, drivetrain configuration and suspension specification. Installation guides are available across most products. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to confirm correct product selection and diameter for the specific platform, bar diameter and configuration.

Repair and Upgrade

Mitsubishi Lancer Sway bar bushings are manufactured from high-strength polyurethane engineered to withstand the torsional load, vibration and environmental exposure that sway bar chassis bracket mount positions are subject to in everyday and demanding use. Polyurethane grips the bar more consistently and maintains the correct interference fit for longer than factory rubber alternatives, delivering more consistent sway bar response and reduced mount noise throughout the service life of the installation. Greaseable universal bushings allow periodic re-lubrication to maintain correct bar-to-bushing compliance over the life of the installation. All products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
