NOLATHANE Transfer Case Bushings for 0

Transfer case bushings are the polyurethane bushing and mount kits used to replace worn or deteriorated components at the transfer case and associated drivetrain mount positions. The transfer case is the secondary gearbox on 4WD platforms that distributes drivetrain power between the front and rear axles, and the bushings supporting its internal shaft and external mount positions directly affect drivetrain stability, NVH and the correct operation of the transfer mechanism under the sustained torque loads of towing, off-road driving and everyday 4WD use.

The transfer case bushings range covers auxiliary transfer shaft bushing kits for the shaft support position within the transfer case housing on applicable 4WD and truck platforms, a transmission mount bushing for applicable drivetrain configurations, and a front suspension bushing kit for applicable motorcycle platforms. Auxiliary transfer shaft bushing kits are available in two shaft ID specifications to match the applicable shaft diameter of the specific transfer case. All products are backed by a limited lifetime or 3-year warranty depending on the product.

Why Upgrade Suspension?

The auxiliary transfer shaft within the transfer case on applicable 4WD platforms is supported by bushings that maintain the shaft in correct alignment within the housing under the sustained rotational and torque loads generated during 4WD operation. As these bushings wear, the shaft develops play within the housing that introduces vibration, increased noise from the transfer case during 4WD engagement and a progressive deterioration in the smoothness and precision of transfer case operation. On platforms used for sustained towing, off-road driving or high-mileage 4WD use, transfer shaft bushing wear is significantly accelerated by the elevated and more frequent torque loads these applications generate.

Renewing the auxiliary transfer shaft bushings with correctly specified replacements restores correct shaft support and alignment within the housing, eliminating the play and vibration that worn shaft bushings introduce and returning smooth, quiet and correctly supported transfer case operation throughout the service life of the renewed installation.

Transfer Case Bushing Range

The transfer case bushing range includes:

• Auxiliary Transfer Shaft Bushing Kits: Polyurethane bushing kits for the auxiliary transfer shaft support position within the transfer case housing on applicable 4WD and truck platforms.
• Transmission Mount Bushing: A polyurethane transmission mount bushing for applicable drivetrain configurations requiring transmission mount renewal alongside transfer case servicing.
• Front Suspension Bushing Kit for Applicable Motorcycle Platforms: A front suspension bushing kit for applicable motorcycle platforms requiring front suspension bushing renewal at the applicable fork or suspension pivot position.

Why Purchase Transfer Case Bushings?

Auxiliary transfer shaft bushing wear is a frequently overlooked source of the vibration and noise that develops from the transfer case area on high-mileage 4WD platforms. Because transfer case symptoms can be difficult to distinguish from driveshaft or differential sources without disassembly, the shaft bushings are sometimes overlooked until the play has advanced significantly. Renewing the shaft bushings at the correct service interval or when symptoms first appear restores correct shaft support immediately, eliminating the vibration source within the housing and preventing the accelerated wear at the shaft and housing interfaces that progressive bushing deterioration introduces.

For shops completing transfer case rebuilds and drivetrain overhauls on applicable 4WD platforms, including correctly specified shaft bushing kits as part of the rebuild ensures the transfer case is returned to service with correct internal shaft support from the first 4WD engagement.

Installation and Support

Auxiliary transfer shaft bushing kits install at the shaft support position within the transfer case housing as part of a transfer case service or rebuild. Installation time is approximately two hours. The correct bushing is selected by matching the shaft ID specification to the applicable transfer case configuration. An installation guide is available for the smaller shaft ID variant. The transmission mount bushing installs in approximately one hour. The motorcycle suspension bushing kit requires no significant dedicated labor time. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to confirm correct product selection and shaft ID specification for the specific transfer case and drivetrain configuration.

Repair and Upgrade

Auxiliary transfer shaft bushings are manufactured from polyurethane engineered to withstand the rotational load, heat and environmental exposure that transfer shaft support positions are subject to under sustained 4WD operation including towing, off-road driving and everyday use. Polyurethane maintains correct shaft support and alignment for longer than factory alternatives under the elevated and repeated torque loads that demanding 4WD applications generate. The transmission mount bushing and motorcycle suspension kit are manufactured from quality materials suited to their respective applications. Warranties range from limited lifetime to 3 years depending on the product.

Who Transfer Case Bushings Are For

Transfer case bushings are a practical solution for:

• Professional shops completing transfer case rebuilds, drivetrain overhauls and 4WD servicing on applicable 4WD truck and SUV platforms requiring auxiliary transfer shaft bushing renewal to restore correct shaft support and eliminate transfer case vibration and noise.
• 4WD owners and experienced drivetrain technicians renewing auxiliary transfer shaft bushings on applicable platforms to eliminate transfer case vibration, restore smooth 4WD operation and prevent accelerated wear at the shaft and housing interfaces from continued use with worn bushings.
• Applicable motorcycle owners requiring front suspension bushing renewal at the applicable suspension pivot position.

The right transfer case bushing kit restores correct shaft support and alignment within the transfer case housing, eliminates shaft-induced vibration and noise, and ensures the transfer case operates smoothly and correctly under all 4WD engagement conditions.
