NOLATHANE Control Arm Kit - Upper with Fitting Position Front and Rear, Rear

Upper control arm kits are the geometry-correcting front upper control arm assemblies used to address the camber and caster error that a suspension lift introduces at the upper arm position on applicable 4WD and truck platforms. On double-wishbone front suspension systems, the upper control arm defines the upper end of the front wheel's suspension travel arc. The factory upper arm is designed and positioned for the vehicle's standard ride height, and when that ride height is increased by a suspension lift, the changed geometry relationship between the upper arm inner pivot, the upper ball joint and the chassis introduces camber and caster errors that a standard alignment cannot correct because the arm hardware itself is positioned incorrectly for the new ride height.

The upper control arm kits range covers an HD adjustable front upper control arm set with a fully adjustable inner pivot for applicable 4WD platforms, and a fixed offset upper control arm kit with a predetermined lift correction geometry for applicable 4WD platforms. Both products address the same fundamental problem, restoring correct camber and caster geometry at the upper arm position following a suspension lift, through different correction approaches suited to their respective platforms and use cases. Warranties range from limited lifetime to 3 years. Installation guides are available for the HD adjustable set.

Why Upgrade Suspension?

A suspension lift that is not accompanied by upper control arm geometry correction leaves the front suspension operating with camber and caster angles that are outside the specification the platform was designed to align to. The consequences accumulate progressively: tires wear on their inner or outer edges depending on the direction and magnitude of the camber error, the steering pull and instability that incorrect caster introduces becomes a consistent driving characteristic rather than an occasional occurrence, and the front upper ball joint is subjected to loading angles for which it was not designed, accelerating its wear rate under the incorrect geometry.

Correcting upper arm geometry restores the correct relationship between the upper arm pivot arc, the upper ball joint angle and the chassis geometry at the new ride height, bringing the front suspension back into a correctly alignable range and allowing the alignment to be set to the specification the platform was engineered to deliver. This is not an optional refinement after a lift; it is the structural correction that makes a correctly functioning aligned front suspension possible at the new ride height.

Upper Control Arm Kit Range

The upper control arm kit range includes:

• HD Adjustable Front Upper Control Arm Sets: Heavy duty front upper control arm sets with a fully adjustable inner pivot for applicable 4WD trucks, providing a continuously adjustable range of camber and caster correction at the front upper arm position across the applicable lift height range.
• Fixed Offset Upper Control Arm Kits for Lift Correction, Applicable 4WD Platforms: Complete upper control arm kits with a built-in fixed offset correction engineered for the specific lift height range of applicable 4WD trucks and SUVs, delivering the correct predetermined camber and caster correction for the applicable lift without requiring pivot adjustment during installation.

Why Purchase Upper Control Arm Kits?

Upper control arm geometry correction is the non-negotiable step that determines whether a lifted 4WD can be correctly aligned at the new ride height. Without it, the alignment cannot be set to specification because the correction required at the upper arm pivot position exceeds what standard alignment adjustment hardware can deliver. The arm geometry itself must be addressed before alignment work is meaningful.

The adjustable pivot set is the more versatile option, providing correction for any lift height within the adjustment range and allowing the exact geometry to be set and refined at the alignment rack. The fixed offset kit provides a simpler installation for the specific applicable lift height range on applicable platforms, delivering the correct predetermined correction without requiring pivot adjustment or alignment-stage geometry setting beyond standard alignment procedures.

Compatible Vehicles

Upper control arm kits are compatible with the following vehicles:

• Applicable 4WD trucks and SUVs that have been lifted and require HD adjustable front upper control arm sets to restore correct camber and caster geometry at the new ride height and enable the front suspension to be correctly aligned within specification.
• Applicable 4WD trucks and SUVs that have been lifted within the specified lift height range and require fixed offset upper control arm kits to restore correct lift-specific camber and caster correction at the front upper arm position.

Installation and Support

Upper control arm kits install at the front upper arm chassis inner pivot and upper ball joint positions on applicable platforms. The HD adjustable set installs in approximately two hours, with the inner pivot set to the correct correction position during installation. The fixed offset kit installs in approximately three hours. Following installation of either product the vehicle must be presented for a wheel alignment to set camber and caster within specification using the correction delivered by the arm. An installation guide is available for the HD adjustable set.

For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to confirm correct product selection, applicable lift height range and fitment for the specific platform.

Repair and Upgrade

Upper control arm kits are manufactured from high-strength materials engineered to withstand the structural loads, road shock and environmental exposure that front upper control arm positions are subject to in everyday, towing and off-road use at lifted ride heights. HD specification arms are built to a heavier construction than factory upper arms, providing increased structural rigidity and load capacity for demanding 4WD and off-road applications. The adjustable inner pivot design delivers continuously adjustable geometry correction across the full lift height range, maintaining correct geometry under sustained suspension articulation without binding or interference at the pivot position.

Who Upper Control Arm Kits Are For

Upper control arm kits are a practical solution for:

• Lifted applicable 4WD truck and SUV owners requiring HD adjustable front upper control arm sets to restore correct camber and caster geometry at the new ride height, enabling the front suspension to be correctly aligned to specification and eliminating the tire wear and handling instability that an uncorrected lift geometry produces.
• Lifted applicable 4WD truck and SUV owners whose lift falls within the applicable height range for the fixed offset kit, requiring a complete upper arm correction that delivers the correct predetermined geometry correction for the specific lift without requiring pivot adjustment during installation.

The right upper control arm kit restores the correct geometric relationship between the front upper arm pivot, the upper ball joint and the chassis at the new ride height, enables the suspension to be correctly aligned to specification, and eliminates the camber and caster errors that an uncorrected lift introduces from the first alignment after installation.
