NOLATHANE Track Bar Bushings with Fitting Position Front, Rear

Track bar bushings are the polyurethane bushing kits used to replace worn rubber bushings at the chassis and axle mounting positions of the track bar, also called a panhard rod. The track bar is a lateral link that connects the rear axle housing to the chassis on solid rear axle and independent rear suspension platforms, preventing the axle from moving side to side under cornering, braking and suspension articulation while allowing vertical travel. The bushing at each end of the track bar is the compliant interface that controls how precisely the axle is centered beneath the vehicle throughout its suspension travel arc.

As track bar bushings wear, lateral axle compliance increases, allowing the axle to shift side to side under cornering and braking loads. The result is steering wander, rear end instability and the deterioration in straight-line tracking and cornering precision that progressive track bar bushing wear introduces. The track bar bushings range covers a rear panhard rod bushing kit for applicable RWD performance platforms and a dimensionally specified universal track bar bushing for applicable solid axle truck and 4WD track bar applications. Warranties range from limited lifetime to 3 years depending on the product. Installation guides are available for both products.

Why Upgrade Suspension?

Track bar bushing wear is a primary cause of the rear end lateral looseness and steering wander that solid rear axle and panhard rod-equipped vehicles develop progressively with mileage. Because the track bar is the sole lateral locating device for the rear axle on applicable platforms, the bushing condition at both ends directly determines how precisely that location is maintained under every cornering and braking input. Worn bushings at either the chassis or axle end allow the axle to move laterally in a way that manifests as rear end float, inconsistent cornering behavior and a vague, imprecise quality to the vehicle's straight-line tracking that worsens as compliance increases.

Renewing track bar bushings with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives restores correct lateral axle compliance at each mounting position, eliminating axle wander and returning more stable, precise and confident straight-line and cornering behavior from the moment of installation.

Track Bar Bushing Range

The track bar bushing range includes:

• Rear Panhard Rod Bushing Kits: Polyurethane bushing kits for the rear panhard rod chassis and axle mount positions on applicable RWD performance platforms, restoring correct lateral axle location and rear end stability.
• Universal Track Bar Bushings: Dimensionally specified polyurethane track bar bushings in the correct OD, ID and length for the applicable bolt size, designed for use with aftermarket and factory track bar assemblies on applicable solid axle truck and 4WD platforms.

Why Purchase Track Bar Bushings?

Track bar bushing renewal directly addresses the structural-level cause of the rear axle lateral looseness that worn compliance at the panhard rod or track bar mounting positions introduces. Renewing the bushings restores correct lateral axle location under all driving conditions, eliminating the rear end instability and steering wander that worn track bar compliance produces. For lifted and modified solid axle platforms where the track bar geometry has changed from factory, ensuring the bushing condition is correct at both mount positions is a foundational step in maintaining correct lateral axle centering at the new ride height.

Compatible Vehicles

Track bar bushings are compatible with a wide range of vehicles, including:

• Applicable RWD performance vehicles with solid rear axle and panhard rod lateral location requiring rear panhard rod bushing renewal to restore correct rear axle lateral location and rear end stability.
• Applicable solid axle trucks and 4WDs requiring track bar bushing renewal at the chassis or axle mount position where the applicable bolt size and bushing dimensions match the universal dimensionally specified track bar bushing.
• Any solid axle or panhard rod equipped platform where worn track bar or panhard rod mount bushings are contributing to rear axle lateral movement, steering wander or rear end instability under cornering and braking loads.

Installation and Support

Track bar bushing kits are designed for installation at the rear track bar chassis and axle mount positions. The rear panhard rod bushing kit installs in approximately one hour. The universal track bar bushing installs without dedicated labor time as a direct replacement component. Installation guides are available for both products. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to confirm correct product selection and fitment for the specific platform and track bar mount configuration.

Repair and Upgrade

Track bar bushings are manufactured from polyurethane engineered to withstand the sustained lateral load, road shock and environmental exposure that track bar and panhard rod chassis and axle mount positions are subject to in everyday, performance and off-road use. Polyurethane maintains correct lateral arm compliance for longer than factory rubber alternatives under the cornering and handling loads that solid axle platforms generate, delivering more consistent axle centering and rear end stability throughout the service life of the installation. Warranties range from limited lifetime to 3 years depending on the product.

Who Track Bar Bushings Are For

Track bar bushings are a practical solution for:

• Professional shops completing rear suspension overhauls and performance servicing on applicable RWD performance and solid axle 4WD platforms requiring rear panhard rod or track bar bushing renewal to restore correct lateral axle location and eliminate rear end instability and steering wander.
• Performance and enthusiast vehicle owners renewing rear panhard rod bushings on applicable RWD platforms to restore precise, stable and predictable rear end behavior under cornering and braking loads.
• 4WD and off-road vehicle owners requiring dimensionally specified universal track bar bushing replacement at the applicable mount position on factory or aftermarket track bar assemblies.

The right track bar bushing kit restores correct lateral axle compliance at every renewed mount position, eliminates rear axle lateral movement and delivers more stable, precise and confident rear suspension behavior through every braking and cornering input.
