NOLATHANE, REVOLUTION Watts Link Bushing Kit with Fitting Position Rear

Watts link bushings are the polyurethane bushing kits used to replace worn rubber bushings at the pivot and end mount positions of the rear Watts link lateral location assembly. The Watts link is an alternative to the panhard rod used on applicable RWD passenger and performance platforms to keep the rear axle precisely centered beneath the vehicle throughout its full vertical suspension travel. Unlike a panhard rod, which describes an arc as the axle moves up and down and introduces a small lateral offset at full bump and droop, the Watts link uses a central pivot mounted to the axle housing and two equal-length horizontal links connecting to the chassis on each side. This geometry keeps the axle centered on the vehicle centerline throughout the full suspension travel range without any lateral arc offset.

The bushings at the central pivot and at each end mount position of the Watts link control how precisely this lateral centering is maintained under cornering, braking and suspension articulation loads. As these bushings wear, play develops at the pivot and end positions that allows the axle to shift laterally under load, degrading the precision advantage that the Watts link design provides over a standard panhard rod. A correctly renewed Watts link bushing kit restores correct compliance and precision at all positions, returning the full lateral centering accuracy of the Watts link assembly. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Installation guide included.

Why Upgrade Suspension?

The Watts link design provides a more geostandardally precise form of rear axle lateral location than the panhard rod on applicable platforms, and the bushing condition at every position in the assembly determines how much of that geostandard precision is actually delivered to the vehicle's handling behavior. Worn bushings at the central pivot or end mount positions introduce lateral play that reduces the Watts link's precise centering to something closer to the arc-based compliance of a worn panhard rod, defeating the engineering advantage the design provides.

On performance and handling-oriented vehicles where the Watts link was chosen over a panhard rod specifically for its lateral centering precision, maintaining correct bushing condition at all positions is a foundational requirement for the rear end to behave with the cornering balance, stability and precision that the platform is capable of delivering. Renewing the bushings with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives restores the full precision of the Watts link geometry at every position, eliminating lateral play and returning confident, accurate and stable rear end behavior through every corner.

Watts Link Bushing Kit Range

The Watts link bushing kit range includes:

• Rear Watts Link Bushing Kits: Polyurethane bushing kits for the pivot and end mount positions of the rear Watts link lateral location assembly on applicable RWD passenger and performance platforms, restoring correct lateral compliance and centering precision at all bushing positions in the assembly.

Why Purchase Watts Link Bushing Kits?

The Watts link is a precision rear lateral location device, and its effectiveness depends entirely on the condition of the bushings at every position in the assembly. Allowing worn bushings to remain in service while the assembly remains in place means the rear axle is operating without the correct lateral location precision the Watts link is designed to provide. Renewing the bushings with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives restores full assembly precision immediately, returning the handling balance and rear end stability the platform is designed to deliver.

For shops and experienced DIY users completing rear suspension servicing on applicable platforms, Watts link bushing renewal is a straightforward and high-impact service that addresses the primary compliance interface in the rear lateral location system and ensures the rear suspension performs with the precision the Watts link design provides.

Compatible Vehicles

Watts link bushing kits are compatible with:

• Applicable RWD passenger and performance vehicles fitted with a rear Watts link lateral location assembly requiring pivot and end mount bushing renewal to restore correct lateral centering precision and rear end stability under cornering and braking loads.

Installation and Support

The rear Watts link bushing kit installs at the pivot and end mount positions of the rear Watts link assembly. Installation requires no significant dedicated labor time as a standalone service. An installation guide is included with the product. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to confirm correct product fitment for the specific platform and Watts link assembly configuration.

Repair and Upgrade

Watts link bushings are manufactured from high-strength polyurethane engineered to withstand the lateral load, road shock and environmental exposure that rear Watts link pivot and end mount positions are subject to in everyday and performance driving. Polyurethane maintains correct lateral compliance for longer than factory rubber alternatives under the cornering and handling loads that RWD performance platforms generate, delivering more consistent rear axle lateral centering and rear end stability throughout the service life of the installation.

Who Watts Link Bushing Kits Are For

Watts link bushing kits are a practical solution for:

• Professional shops completing rear suspension servicing and performance overhauls on applicable RWD platforms fitted with a Watts link lateral location assembly requiring correct bushing renewal at the pivot and end positions to restore full lateral centering precision and rear end stability.
• Performance and enthusiast vehicle owners renewing Watts link bushings on applicable platforms to restore or maintain the precise rear axle lateral centering and cornering balance that correct Watts link bushing condition delivers.

The right Watts link bushing kit restores correct compliance and lateral centering precision at every position in the assembly, eliminates lateral axle play under cornering and braking loads, and returns the full handling precision and rear end stability that the Watts link design is engineered to provide.
