NOLATHANE Coil Spring Insulators with Fitting Position Front and Rear, Front, Rear

Coil spring insulators are the platform-specific and universal polyurethane insulator and pad bushing kits used to replace worn or deteriorated rubber insulators at the upper and lower coil spring seating positions. At each end of every coil spring, an insulator sits between the spring end and the spring seat surface, whether that is the strut mount top pad, the lower strut seat, the rear spring perch or the chassis cup. The insulator provides a compliant interface that isolates the spring from direct metal contact at the seat, cushions the spring under compression and prevents the spring end from grinding, ticking or creaking against the seat surface as the spring moves through its travel.

As factory rubber insulators crack, harden or collapse with age and use, the coil spring begins to contact the seat directly, introducing a range of NVH symptoms from subtle ticking under slow suspension movement to persistent squeaking and spring noise under cornering and braking loads. The coil spring insulators range covers front upper and lower isolator bushings, rear spring isolator sets and single units, standard and mild lift spring pad bushings for both front and rear axle positions, a universal spring pad bushing in dimensionally specified sizing, and general coil spring insulator sets. Most products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Why Upgrade Suspension?

Coil spring insulator wear is gradual and the symptoms it introduces are often normalised before the source is identified. A faint creak or tick on slow speed parking lot maneuvers, a subtle knocking sound from the spring area under cornering or a persistent squeak over small bumps are all common early indicators of insulator deterioration that worsen progressively until the spring is contacting the seat directly under full compression. Because these sounds are spring-related rather than bushing-related, they are sometimes misattributed to shock absorbers or strut mounts before the insulators are correctly identified.

Renewing spring insulators with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives eliminates spring-to-seat contact noise immediately, restores the correct cushioning interface at the upper and lower spring seat positions, and ensures the spring is correctly located and isolated throughout its full travel range. Spring pad bushings that introduce a small lift increment also serve a dual purpose, providing correct insulation at the spring seat while adding a controlled amount of height correction on applicable platforms.

Coil Spring Insulator Range

The coil spring insulator range includes:

• Front Coil Spring Isolator Bushings: Platform-specific polyurethane isolator bushings for the front coil spring seat position on applicable passenger and performance platforms, renewing the spring-to-seat interface at the applicable front spring seating location.
• Front Suspension Upper Spring Isolators: Single unit upper spring isolators for the front strut upper spring seat position on applicable platforms, supplied individually where two units are required for a full axle service.
• Front Suspension Lower Spring Isolators: Single unit lower spring isolators for the front strut lower spring seat position on applicable platforms, supplied individually where two units are required for a full axle service.
• Front Spring Pad Bushings with Lift: Spring pad bushings for the front coil spring seat position that provide a small controlled ride height increase on applicable platforms where both insulation renewal and a minor lift correction are required simultaneously.
• Rear Coil Spring Isolator Sets: Platform-specific polyurethane insulator sets covering both rear spring seat positions in a single purchase on applicable passenger, performance and 4WD platforms.
• Rear Coil Spring Insulator Sets and Kits: Platform-specific rear coil spring insulator sets and kits for applicable passenger and performance platforms requiring rear spring-to-seat insulation renewal.
• Rear Suspension Lower Spring Isolators: Single unit lower isolators for the rear coil spring lower seat position on applicable platforms, supplied individually where two units are required for a full axle service.
• Rear Spring Pad Bushings with Lift: Spring pad bushings for the rear coil spring seat position that introduce a small controlled ride height increase on applicable platforms.
• Spring Pad Bushings, Standard Height: Platform-specific spring pad bushings for the rear coil spring seat position at standard ride height on applicable platforms where the spring pad requires renewal without height correction.
• Universal Spring Pad Bushings: Dimensionally specified polyurethane spring pad bushings in OD, ID and height dimensions for non-platform-specific coil spring seat applications where the seat dimensions match the available specification.
• General Coil Spring Isolator Sets: Spring insulator sets for applicable platforms requiring front or rear coil spring seat insulation renewal across both positions in a single purchase.

Why Purchase Coil Spring Insulators?

Spring insulator renewal is one of the most cost-effective NVH improvements available on coil spring suspension platforms, addressing a primary source of suspension noise at the spring seat level without requiring spring, shock absorber or strut mount replacement. Renewing worn insulators with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives eliminates the metal-to-metal contact that produces spring noise, restores correct spring cushioning at the seat, and ensures the spring remains correctly located at both ends throughout its travel range.

For shops completing coil spring replacements and strut service, renewing the spring insulators at the same time as the spring or shock absorber ensures the new components are installed with correct insulation at every contact point, preventing the spring noise that would otherwise develop quickly once factory-original insulators are transferred to new hardware.

Compatible Vehicles

Coil spring insulators are compatible with a wide range of vehicles, including:

• Applicable RWD passenger and performance vehicles requiring front or rear coil spring insulator renewal at the upper or lower spring seat position to eliminate spring noise and restore correct spring cushioning.
• Applicable passenger and performance vehicles requiring front upper or lower spring isolator renewal on applicable strut and coil spring platforms.
• Applicable passenger vehicles requiring rear coil spring insulator set renewal at both spring seat positions.
• 4WD and SUV platforms on applicable configurations requiring rear coil spring insulator or spring pad bushing renewal.
• Any vehicle requiring a spring pad bushing that provides both correct spring seat insulation and a small controlled ride height increment at the front or rear spring seat position.
• Any platform requiring a universal spring pad bushing where the seat dimensions match the available dimensional specification.

Installation and Support

Coil spring insulator kits are designed for installation at the upper and lower coil spring seat positions during spring or strut service. Installation times range from under an hour for simple pad bushing replacements to two hours for front spring pad bushing installations that require strut disassembly. Single unit products require two units per axle for a complete axle service. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to confirm correct product selection for the specific platform and spring seat configuration.

Repair and Upgrade

Coil spring insulators are manufactured from polyurethane and quality elastomeric materials engineered to withstand the sustained compressive loads, heat cycling and environmental exposure that coil spring seat positions are subject to throughout the vehicle's service life. Polyurethane and quality insulator materials resist the hardening, cracking and compression set that shortens the service life of factory rubber alternatives, maintaining correct spring cushioning and seat isolation for longer under everyday and demanding conditions. Most products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Who Coil Spring Insulators Are For

Coil spring insulators are a practical solution for:

• Professional shops completing coil spring replacements, strut services and suspension overhauls on applicable passenger, performance and 4WD platforms requiring correct spring insulator renewal at the upper and lower seat positions to prevent spring noise and ensure correct spring seating in the new assembly.
• Vehicle owners experiencing coil spring creaking, ticking or squeaking noise on applicable platforms attributable to worn or deteriorated spring insulators at the upper or lower seat position.
• Anyone requiring a spring pad bushing that provides both correct insulation at the coil spring seat and a small controlled ride height increment on applicable front or rear coil spring platforms.
• Shops and DIY users requiring a universally specified spring pad bushing for non-platform-specific coil spring seat applications.

The right coil spring insulator kit eliminates spring-to-seat contact noise, restores correct spring cushioning at every seat position, and ensures the coil spring is correctly located and isolated throughout its full travel range from the first mile after installation.
