Adjustable Sway Bar Links for MITSUBISHI LANCER CJ, CY FWD

CJ, CY FWD LANCER Adjustable sway bar links are the heavy duty replacement sway bar links used to replace worn or incorrectly sized factory sway bar links at the front and rear sway bar end positions. Each link connects the end of the sway bar to the suspension strut, control arm or hub carrier and transmits the sway bar's torsional load to the suspension, directly influencing the bar's roll resistance contribution. Factory sway bar links use rubber bushes at each end that wear and crack over time, introducing play and compliance into the link that reduces sway bar effectiveness and contributes to the characteristic knocking that worn link ends produce over bumps and during cornering.

CJ, CY FWD LANCER Adjustable sway bar links replace both the worn link body and the rubber end joints with a precisely threaded, length-adjustable assembly fitted with heavy duty ball joints at each end. The threaded body allows the link length to be set within a defined range to match the exact geometry of the specific application, accommodating factory link lengths, modified suspension heights and non-standard sway bar positions without requiring a purpose-made fixed-length link. Ball joint end fittings allow the link to articulate freely without the compliance limitations of rubber bush ends, delivering a direct and precise sway bar connection under all driving conditions. All products are backed by a three-year warranty.

Why Upgrade CJ, CY FWD LANCER Suspension?

Standard factory sway bar links use rubber-bushed ends that are designed for quiet, compliant operation but deteriorate over the CJ, CY FWD LANCER's service life under the combination of torsional load cycling, angular deflection and environmental exposure. Worn link end bushes allow play to develop between the link and the bar or the suspension mounting point, reducing the sway bar's ability to resist roll and introducing the knock and rattle over bumps that is one of the most common suspension noises encountered in workshop servicing.

Replacing worn factory links with heavy duty adjustable ball joint links eliminates the worn end play, restores direct and precise sway bar-to-suspension force transmission, and provides a link that can be correctly set to the exact geometry of the application. The CJ, CY FWD LANCER adjustable length design is particularly valuable on lowered, lifted or modified vehicles where the factory link length is no longer suitable and a fixed replacement would bind or over-extend through the suspension travel range.

CJ, CY FWD LANCER Adjustable Sway Bar Link Range

The CJ, CY FWD LANCER adjustable sway bar link range includes:

• CJ, CY FWD LANCER Front Adjustable Sway Bar Links, Platform-Specific: Adjustable length, heavy duty ball joint front sway bar links in the correct length range and ball joint configuration for the specific platform, available for a range of Australian, Japanese and European passenger and performance vehicles.
• CJ, CY FWD LANCER Rear Adjustable Sway Bar Links, Platform-Specific: Adjustable length, heavy duty ball joint rear sway bar links in the correct length range and ball joint configuration for the specific platform, available for a range of Australian, Japanese and European passenger and performance vehicles.
• CJ, CY FWD LANCER Universal Adjustable Sway Bar Links: Adjustable length, heavy duty ball joint sway bar links in a range of length spans and ball stud sizes for front and rear applications where a platform-specific link is not available, or where a universal link is preferred for a custom or modified application.

All products are supplied as a pair of two links. Ball joint end configurations include horizontal-only and combined horizontal/vertical articulation to match the specific mounting geometry of the application.

Why Purchase CJ, CY FWD LANCER Adjustable Sway Bar Links?

Worn factory sway bar links are among the most common causes of the front and rear suspension knock that workshops diagnose on a daily basis, yet a worn link also reduces sway bar effectiveness in a way that degrades cornering balance and stability progressively and is often not noticed until the link is replaced and the improvement is immediately apparent. Heavy duty adjustable ball joint links address both the noise and the performance deficit in a single replacement, delivering a direct, play-free sway bar connection that restores the bar's full contribution to roll resistance.

The adjustable length design is the correct choice for any CJ, CY FWD LANCER that has been lowered or lifted, as the changed suspension geometry alters the ideal link length relative to factory and a fixed link of the original length will bind or over-extend through the suspension travel range. Setting the link length to the correct dimension for the modified ride height ensures the sway bar operates at the correct angle throughout the full suspension travel range.

Installation and Support

CJ, CY FWD LANCER Adjustable sway bar links are designed for accurate installation at the front and rear sway bar end mounting positions. Installation time is approximately one hour per kit. Link length must be set within the product's adjustable range to match the specific application geometry before final tightening. Installation guides are available across all products. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to help confirm correct product selection and length setting for the specific vehicle and suspension configuration.

Repair and Upgrade

CJ, CY FWD LANCER Adjustable sway bar links are constructed with a threaded body and heavy duty ball joint ends engineered to withstand the torsional and angular loads that sway bar link mounting positions are subject to in everyday and demanding use. The ball joint end design articulates freely through the full suspension travel range without the compliance limitations of rubber bush ends, delivering consistent and direct sway bar force transmission under all driving conditions. The adjustable length body accommodates the specific geometry of each application within a defined range. All products are backed by a three-year warranty.
