Threaded Rod Sway Bar Links for HOLDEN CALAIS VX

VX CALAIS Threaded rod sway bar links are the complete sway bar link assembly kits used to replace worn or failed factory sway bar links on platforms that use the threaded rod link design. In this design, a straight or S-shaped threaded rod spans the distance between the sway bar end and the suspension mounting point, with polyurethane bush and washer stacks assembled over each threaded end to provide the compliance and bearing surfaces needed at each pivot position. The threaded rod design is the traditional link type used across a wide range of classic and older Japanese, Australian, Korean and 4WD platforms, and remains in service on a number of current platforms as both factory equipment and aftermarket specification.

As threaded rod link bushes wear and compress, play develops in the link assembly, reducing sway bar effectiveness and introducing the characteristic knock over bumps that worn links produce. Complete VX CALAIS threaded rod sway bar link kits replace the full assembly including the threaded rod, polyurethane bushes, washers, tubes and nuts in a single purchase, ensuring every component in the link is renewed together. Universal threaded rod hardware kits without bushes are also available for applications where only the rod and hardware require replacement and the bushes are being sourced separately. All products carry a three-year warranty.

Why Upgrade VX CALAIS Suspension?

The VX CALAIS threaded rod sway bar link design is simple, durable and straightforward to service, but like all link types, it depends on correctly conditioned bushes and hardware at each end to transmit sway bar force to the suspension without play or noise. Worn or compressed bushes on a threaded rod assembly allow movement between the rod and the suspension mounting point that reduces sway bar response and generates link end knock that worsens with continued use.

Replacing the complete assembly with a new VX CALAIS threaded rod kit including fresh polyurethane bushes and all associated hardware restores the correct compliance and bearing surfaces at every position in the link, eliminating link noise and returning the full roll resistance contribution of the sway bar immediately upon installation.

VX CALAIS Threaded Rod Sway Bar Link Range

The VX CALAIS threaded rod sway bar link range includes:

• VX CALAIS Platform-Specific Complete Threaded Rod Link Kits: Full replacement link assemblies including threaded rods, polyurethane bushes, tubes, washers and nuts in the correct configuration for the specific platform, covering applicable Australian, Japanese, Korean and 4WD applications.
• VX CALAIS Heavy Duty S-Shaped Threaded Rod Link Kits: Complete heavy duty link assemblies using an S-shaped threaded rod profile for applicable platforms where the factory link uses this configuration, including all bushes, washers and nuts.
• VX CALAIS Universal Threaded Rod Hardware Kits Without Bushes: Dimensionally specified threaded rod hardware sets including links, washers and nuts only, in a range of fixed lengths for non-platform-specific and custom applications where bushes are sourced separately.

All platform-specific kits are supplied as a pair of two complete link assemblies. Universal hardware kits are also supplied as a pair and are paired with the appropriate bush kit for a complete link assembly.

Why Purchase VX CALAIS Threaded Rod Sway Bar Links?

For platforms that use the threaded rod link design, complete replacement kits that include the rod, bushes and all hardware deliver the most thorough and efficient link renewal in a single purchase. Every component in the assembly is renewed together, eliminating the risk of mismatched or partially worn components that can reduce link service life when only selected parts are replaced.

VX CALAIS Universal hardware kits without bushes provide flexibility for workshops and experienced DIY users who prefer to specify their bush kits separately or who are completing a custom link assembly for a non-standard application. The range of available lengths accommodates the most common threaded rod link lengths encountered across the platforms that use this design.

Installation and Support

VX CALAIS Complete threaded rod sway bar link kits are designed for direct installation at the front or rear sway bar end mounting positions. Installation time is approximately one hour per kit. Universal hardware kits without bushes require the addition of the appropriate bush kit before assembly. Installation guides are available across most products. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to help confirm correct product selection and assembly configuration for the specific platform and link design.

Repair and Upgrade

VX CALAIS Threaded rod sway bar links are constructed from quality materials engineered to withstand the torsional and angular loads that sway bar link end positions are subject to in everyday and demanding use. Platform-specific kits include polyurethane bushes that resist wear and compression set more effectively than factory rubber alternatives, maintaining correct link end compliance and delivering more consistent sway bar response throughout their service life. All products carry a three-year warranty.

Who VX CALAIS Threaded Rod Sway Bar Links Are For

VX CALAIS Threaded rod sway bar links are a practical solution for:

• Professional workshops replacing worn or failed threaded rod sway bar link assemblies on applicable Australian, Japanese, Korean and 4WD platforms requiring a complete platform-specific replacement kit that renews every link component in a single purchase.
• Experienced DIY users replacing worn threaded rod sway bar links on applicable platforms who require the complete assembly including bushes, hardware and rods to restore the full link assembly to the correct specification.
• Workshops and DIY users requiring universal threaded rod hardware kits without bushes for non-platform-specific applications or custom link assemblies where bushes are being sourced separately to match a specific application requirement.

The right threaded rod sway bar link kit restores the complete link assembly to the correct specification, eliminates link end play and knock and returns the full roll resistance contribution of the sway bar through every corner.
