NOLATHANE, REVOLUTION Body Mount Bushings

Body mount bushings are the platform-specific polyurethane bushing sets used to replace worn or deteriorated rubber bushings at the body to chassis mount positions on body-on-frame trucks, SUVs and 4WD platforms. On body-on-frame vehicles, the body sits on the chassis through a series of body mount positions around the perimeter and floor of the body structure, each isolated from the chassis by a rubber or polyurethane bushing that absorbs road-transmitted vibration, prevents metal-to-metal contact and allows slight relative movement between the body and frame during chassis flex. The condition of the body mount bushings at every position directly affects cabin NVH, body rigidity, structural alignment and the rate at which adjacent mounting hardware and body structure wear.

As body mount bushings deteriorate through compression set, cracking and age, they allow increasing body movement on the chassis, contributing to cabin squeaks, increased road and drivetrain noise, body panel gaps and structural looseness that compounds with continued use. The body mount bushings range covers platform-specific full bushing sets and kits for standard cab, extended cab, crew cab, extra cab, hardtop and two-door body configurations across RWD and 4WD variants of applicable truck and SUV platforms, combined body and radiator mount kits, body mount bushing and hardware kits with all required fasteners included, oval mount profile kits for applicable platforms, and a universal body mount bushing in dimensionally specified sizing for non-platform-specific applications. Most products include installation guides. All products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Why Upgrade Suspension?

Body mount bushings on trucks and body-on-frame SUVs carry a continuous structural load across all driving conditions and are subject to the compressive forces of every road input the chassis transmits to the body. Factory rubber body mount bushings harden and crack progressively with age, heat cycling and load, losing their compliance and isolation properties in a way that allows road and drivetrain noise to transmit directly into the cabin and the body to sit less securely on the chassis. On high-mileage platforms and vehicles that have been heavily loaded or used off-road, body mount deterioration can be significantly accelerated beyond what age alone would produce.

Renewing body mount bushings with correctly specified polyurethane alternatives at all mount positions simultaneously restores correct body-to-chassis compliance and isolation across the full structure, eliminating the NVH, squeaks and body movement that deteriorated mounts introduce and returning the body to a firmly and consistently supported position on the chassis. Renewing all positions together ensures the load is distributed evenly across every mount, preventing the concentrated wear that results from a partial renewal where some positions remain worn while others are new.

• Body and Radiator Mount Bushing Kits: Combined kits covering both body mount and radiator mount positions in a single purchase on applicable crew cab pickup platforms.
• Oval Mount Body Mount Bushing Kits: Body mount bushing kits for applicable platforms where the factory body mount uses an oval bushing profile rather than the standard round design.
• Universal Body Mount Bushings: Dimensionally specified square profile polyurethane body mount bushings for non-platform-specific applications where the mount dimensions match the available dimensional specification.

Why Purchase Body Mount Bushings?

Body mount bushing renewal is one of the most structurally complete suspension services available for body-on-frame trucks and SUVs, addressing every point at which the body connects to the chassis in a single installation. The improvement in cabin refinement, NVH reduction and body rigidity that a full body mount renewal delivers is immediately apparent and reflects the degree to which deteriorated factory mounts had been degrading the driving experience.

For workshops completing high-mileage servicing and restoration work on applicable trucks and SUVs, body mount bushing renewal is a logical inclusion alongside engine and drivetrain services on platforms that have accumulated the mileage where body mount deterioration is expected. Body mount bushing and hardware kits that include all fastening hardware eliminate the need for a separate hardware order and ensure the installation is completed with correctly specified fasteners at every position.

Compatible Vehicles

Body mount bushings are compatible with a wide range of vehicles, including:

• Applicable full-size RWD and 4WD pickup trucks in various cab configurations requiring full body mount bushing renewal at all body to chassis mount positions.
• Applicable full-size SUVs and 4WDs in various body configurations requiring body mount bushing renewal across all applicable mount positions.
• Applicable trucks and SUVs in various cab and body configurations requiring body mount bushing renewal at all chassis mounting positions.
• Any body-on-frame truck or SUV on an applicable platform where the body mount bushing profile, cab configuration and drivetrain variant match a kit in the range.
• Any platform requiring a universal body mount bushing where the mount profile dimensions match the available dimensional specification.

Installation and Support

Body mount bushing sets and kits are designed for installation at all body to chassis mount positions on the applicable platform. Installation times range from under an hour for smaller kits to five hours for full cab configuration sets depending on the platform and number of mount positions covered. Body mount bushing and hardware kits include all required fastening hardware. Installation guides are available across most products. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to confirm correct product selection for the specific platform, cab configuration and drivetrain variant.

Repair and Upgrade

Body mount bushings are manufactured from high-strength polyurethane engineered to withstand the compressive load, vibration and environmental exposure that body-to-chassis mount positions are subject to across the full service life of a truck or body-on-frame SUV in everyday, loaded and off-road use. Polyurethane body mount bushings resist the compression set and age-related hardening that shortens the service life of factory rubber alternatives, maintaining correct body-to-chassis compliance and NVH isolation for longer under sustained and demanding conditions. All products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Who Body Mount Bushings Are For

Body mount bushings are a practical solution for:

• Professional shops completing high-mileage servicing, restoration and structural renewal on applicable body-on-frame trucks and SUVs requiring full body mount bushing replacement at all chassis mount positions to restore cabin refinement, reduce NVH and return the body to a correctly supported position on the chassis.
• Truck and SUV owners renewing worn body mount bushings to eliminate cabin squeaks, reduce road and drivetrain noise and restore the structural rigidity and driving refinement that correctly supported body mounts deliver.
• Fleet operators and commercial users servicing applicable trucks requiring body mount bushing renewal to maintain structural integrity and cabin comfort through high-mileage commercial use.
• Anyone completing a body lift installation on an applicable platform requiring correctly sized body mount bushing hardware to support the body at the lifted height across all mount positions.

The right body mount bushing kit renews every body to chassis mount position simultaneously, restores correct body compliance and NVH isolation across the full structure, and delivers a quieter, more refined and more firmly supported driving experience from the moment of installation.
