NOLATHANE, REVOLUTION Sway Bar & Sway Bar Kits

Sway bar mounting hardware is essential to maintaining correct sway bar position and operating geometry across all driving conditions. On 4WD vehicles fitted with a suspension lift, the front sway bar can shift from its designed mounting position, causing the sway bar to contact surrounding components during full suspension travel and reducing its effectiveness at controlling body roll. Sway bar relocation kits address this directly by repositioning the sway bar mount to restore correct clearance and operating geometry at the new ride height.

Quality sway bar relocation and bracket kits ensure the sway bar operates correctly and safely following a suspension modification, protecting both the sway bar and surrounding components from contact damage while maintaining effective body roll control across all driving conditions. A practical and necessary upgrade for workshops and experienced DIY users completing 4WD suspension lift installations on popular platforms.

Why Install a Sway Bar Relocation Kit?

When a 4WD is lifted, the change in suspension geometry alters the relationship between the sway bar and its chassis mounting points. On solid axle and leaf spring front suspension platforms, this can cause the sway bar to sit too close to surrounding components at full suspension compression, leading to contact, noise and potential damage to both the sway bar and adjacent parts. Left uncorrected, this contact can accelerate wear on the sway bar, mounts and surrounding hardware, and compromise the effectiveness of the sway bar in controlling body roll.

A sway bar relocation kit lowers or repositions the sway bar mount to restore the correct clearance and geometry required for the new ride height, eliminating contact risk and ensuring the sway bar continues to operate correctly and effectively following the lift. For any 4WD where a suspension lift has altered sway bar clearance, a relocation kit is an important and often overlooked component of a complete, correctly executed lift installation.

Sway Bar Kit Range

The sway bar kits range includes:

• Front Sway Bar Mount Relocation Spacer Kits: Relocate the front sway bar mount downward to restore correct sway bar clearance and operating geometry following a suspension lift on popular 4WD platforms.
• Universal Sway Bar Mount Saddle Kit: A universal bracket saddle solution accommodating sway bar diameters from 62 to 88mm via a slotted mounting hole, providing flexible sway bar mounting across a range of custom, modified and replacement applications.

Why Purchase a Sway Bar Kit?

Completing a 4WD suspension lift without addressing sway bar mount geometry risks ongoing contact between the sway bar and surrounding components, leading to noise, accelerated wear and potential damage over time. Using a quality sway bar relocation kit restores correct mount positioning and sway bar clearance, protecting the sway bar assembly and ensuring effective body roll control from the moment of installation.

For workshops carrying out 4WD suspension lift installations, a sway bar relocation kit is a recommended component of any complete lift fitment, reducing the risk of contact noise, hardware damage and sway bar effectiveness complaints. For vehicle owners and experienced DIY users, fitting a sway bar relocation kit as part of a lift installation is a straightforward step that protects the sway bar system and ensures safe, correct suspension performance at the new ride height. Investing in the right sway bar kit protects both the sway bar assembly and the broader suspension integrity of the lifted vehicle.

Compatible Vehicles

Sway bar and sway bar kit components are compatible with a range of vehicles, including:

• 4WDs and dual cab utes requiring sway bar relocation after suspension lifts.
• Modified or custom vehicles needing universal sway bar mounting solutions.
• Vehicles experiencing sway bar clearance issues, contact or noise after a lift.

Installation and Support

Sway bar kits are designed for straightforward installation, with each kit including all necessary hardware for a complete, accurate fitment. Installation time is approximately one hour, making this a practical upgrade for both professional workshops and experienced DIY users. For additional technical assistance, a dedicated support team is available to help ensure correct product selection and fitment for the specific lift height and application.

Repair and Upgrade

Sway bar kits are manufactured from high-strength materials engineered to withstand the load, vibration and environmental exposure that sway bar mounting components are subject to everyday and demanding 4WD use. Designed as direct upgrade solutions for lifted 4WD applications, each kit restores correct sway bar mount position and clearance, protecting the sway bar assembly and maintaining effective body roll control across all driving conditions.

Sway bar kits are a reliable and durable solution for any 4WD requiring sway bar mount correction following a suspension lift.
