NOLATHANE, REVOLUTION Grease

Grease is the polyurethane-compatible lubricant used during the installation of polyurethane bushings and for periodic re-lubrication of greaseable bushing designs. Polyurethane bushings require a dedicated compatible grease at installation because standard petroleum-based and lithium greases attack polyurethane material, causing it to swell, soften and deteriorate in a way that accelerates premature bushing failure. Using the correct grease at installation ensures the bushing seats correctly in its bore, reduces installation friction at the bore and shaft interfaces, and provides the lubrication film at the inner bore that prevents the squeaking that an unlubricated polyurethane bushing produces when it deflects against its pivot shaft during suspension travel.

For greaseable bushing designs that incorporate a grease nipple or zerk fitting, the same compatible grease is used for periodic re-lubrication via the fitting to maintain the lubrication film at the bore-to-shaft interface throughout the bushing's service life. The grease range covers a polyurethane-compatible bushing grease, suitable for installation and re-lubrication across the full range of polyurethane suspension, drivetrain and chassis bushing applications.

Why Use Compatible Grease?

Polyurethane is chemically incompatible with many standard automotive greases. Petroleum carrier greases and certain lithium-based greases cause polyurethane to swell progressively, reducing the bore clearance the bushing relies on for correct installation and shortening its service life from the point of installation. A squeaking polyurethane bushing is almost always a symptom of insufficient or incorrect lubrication at the inner bore interface, and the squeak is the most preventable of all polyurethane bushing issues, it is eliminated entirely by correct grease application at installation.

Using the correct polyurethane-compatible grease at every installation ensures the bushing is lubricated correctly from its first suspension cycle, preventing the squeak and protecting the material from chemical attack throughout its service life.

Grease Range

The grease range includes:

• Polyurethane Bushing Grease: A polyurethane-compatible suspension bushing grease formulated for installation lubrication and re-lubrication of greaseable polyurethane bushings across all suspension, drivetrain and chassis applications.

Why Purchase Grease?

Correct grease is as essential to a complete polyurethane bushing installation as the bushings themselves. Skipping grease or using an incompatible grease at installation is the single most common cause of premature polyurethane bushing squeak and material swelling. The pack provides sufficient grease for a complete vehicle bushing service with enough remaining to re-lubricate greaseable designs at subsequent service intervals, making it the practical choice for workshops completing full bushing installations and for DIY users who want to have the correct grease on hand for any future bushing service.

Compatible Applications

Polyurethane bushing grease is compatible with all polyurethane suspension, drivetrain and chassis bushings across the full range of bushing applications including control arm, sway bar, leaf spring, body mount, subframe, differential, engine mount and all other polyurethane bushing positions.

Installation and Support

Grease is applied directly to the bushing bore, outer surface and pivot shaft at the time of installation. For greaseable bushing designs with a zerk fitting, the same grease is pumped through the fitting for periodic re-lubrication. No installation time is required as a standalone product, it is applied as part of the bushing installation service. For additional technical assistance on correct grease application quantities and re-lubrication intervals for specific greaseable bushing designs, a dedicated support team is available.

Repair and Upgrade

Polyurethane bushing grease is formulated for chemical compatibility with polyurethane suspension, chassis and drivetrain bushing materials, eliminating the swelling, softening and material attack that standard petroleum and lithium-based greases produce when used on polyurethane. The grease is engineered to maintain its lubrication film at the bore-to-shaft interface under the sustained pressures, road shock and environmental exposure that suspension and drivetrain bushing positions are subject to in everyday and demanding use, including off-road, towing and performance applications.

For greaseable bushing designs incorporating a zerk fitting, the same compatible grease delivers consistent lubrication performance throughout the service life of the installation, ensuring every bushing position remains correctly lubricated and free from squeak from the moment of installation onward.

Who Grease Is For

Grease is an essential consumable for:

• Professional shops completing polyurethane bushing installations across any suspension, drivetrain or chassis position, ensuring every bushing is correctly lubricated from installation and protected from the squeak and material swelling that incorrect or absent grease causes.
• DIY users installing polyurethane bushings at any position on any vehicle, ensuring the correct lubrication is in place from the first suspension cycle and the bushings can perform correctly throughout their service life.
• Anyone with greaseable polyurethane bushing designs requiring periodic re-lubrication through a zerk fitting to maintain the lubrication film at the bore-to-shaft interface throughout the bushing's service life.

The right grease ensures every polyurethane bushing installation is correctly lubricated from the moment of first use, prevents installation-related squeak, protects the bushing material from chemical attack, and maintains correct bore lubrication throughout the service life of every greaseable bushing in the vehicle.
